There are also many social media apps that use similar methods to collect our personal information and sell them to make a profit from it.

This year also WhatsApp tried to do the same. They changed the terms and conditions and tried to get their users into their chats and agreed to collect information, photos, videos, or anything sent and received by us using WhatsApp. But, unfortunately, many users chose not to agree to those terms and conditions and moved easily to other apps such as Telegram to protect their privacy rights from infringement. Snazzyspace.com is a great example of a website used by teenagers, which keeps track of such online cookies.[3]

How can we resolve the issue of privacy violations on social media?

1. Change your privacy settings.

You can pick who can get to your profile, stories, and substance for you through the Settings highlight on most social networking sites. Something else to be certain is that your account is private as opposed to public. On the off chance that your account is private, individuals should request you to follow or make companions. This implies that if your account is private, outsiders won't approach your profile.

2.Read the pop-up notice about cookies before clicking accept Read

We are all guilty of unknowingly clicking 'Allow' or 'Accept Cookies', but you will be surprised by the things they can hide in small print. Before clicking acknowledge, ensure that they are content with whatever they can do with your information. It is also a good practice to read the terms before agreeing on something for your safety in the future.

3.Use strong passwords to protect your accounts

This is the best way to keep your social media account secure On the off chance that you utilize a similar password for every one of your profiles and assuming your secret key is your name or birthday, you and your data are exceptionally powerless against digital attacks. You should utilize a solid password. Include capitalized letters or numbers where conceivable.

4.Try not to tap on fake connections, recordings, photographs, or messages.

Pay attention to your instincts and don't tap on any connections that look dubious. Such connections accompany unique sentences that are intended to draw in the consideration of social media users. Stay away from any of these that precede you and erase any records that share them with your profile.

5.Be aware of what your friends post on Social Media.

Regardless of whether you have dealt with your privacy settings, this doesn't imply that individuals around you should play it safe. If you do not want to associate it with your account, you can untag yourself with any photo posted by your friends.

Conclusion:

It very well may be concluded that much should be done in the field of the interface of social media and the right to privacy as social media networks have become a hotspot for new criminal activities and potential targets for attackers. Since a ton of sensitive data is accessible on the online platforms because of the data that you post on your social media profile. By investigating the kind of sites you visit, adverts you click on, and your data, examiners decide the sort of content that is probably going to revenue you. This data would then be able to be offered to different organizations for their monetary advantage.
